    Welcome to the Fielder's Choice!  As most of you die-hard baseball fans probably know, a fielder's choice is a play in which the fielder of action has a choice between a multitude of plays.  Usually this occurs in some sort of double play attempt in which a ground ball is hit too slowly to turn two and the infielder tosses to either first or second base to salvage one out.  Thus, it was the fielder's choice.

A fielder’s choice can also have a more personal meaning for some.
